Too Memorable Weeks

The past 2 weeks have been rather adventurous for the Harris family.

  • All of our children, spouses and grandchildren gathered in Montauk at the eastern tip of Long Island NY for a week of surf and sun. http://paprandyops.blogspot.com/

  • The only waves the entire week were on Sundays when no one surfed.

  • 18 of the 23 at "Harris Family Camp" got the stomach flu and/or a severe sinus condition.

  • Several of the infirmed barfed in front of everyone...usually during a meal.

  • Randy and Colin both celebrated birthdays. Colin turned 1! http://www.kimberlyandjason.blogspot.com/ Randy turned....50 something.

  • Todd and Ashley moved from Boston to our home (temporarily) in New York.

  • Todd defended his thesis and received his doctorate from MIT. Go Todd! http://toddharrisfamily.blogspot.com/

  • In Carmel we endured 2 extended power outages.

  • Tropical storm Hannah dropped 5 inches of rain in 7 hours.

  • Randy/I spent about 15 hours making 4 trips to and from JFK.

  • I was officially released as Stake Relief Society President.

  • Back home in California little Miles survived the bite of a rattlesnake. http://www.meganharris.com/

How thankful we are that all gathered and returned home safely and that Miles is going home from the hospital tonight. We are blessed indeed.

Is there any rest for the weary? You really worked hard pulling off that complex event! What a great time we all had!

I heard about Miles...how scary! I'm so glad he's okay! As for the rest of your adventures, don't those just make the best laughs down the road???
