Grammy and Papa in NC

Randy and I spent a few days this past week in North Carolina with Jason, Kimberly, Ethan and Colin.  Kimberly was a most gracious hostess in spite of the fact that she is 12 weeks pregnant and not feeling so great.  Jason led us into the woods behind his property.

Kimberly made an amazing chocolate pie and we played a really fun game called 'Time's Up' which I immediately ordered for home...it just might be the new 'Harris' Settlers'.
We escaped icey, snowy New York for a sun break but it was pretty cold in NC.  On the warmest day we enjoyed a hike in the big state park in back of their home.

The next day it snowed 5 inches ... a very rare occurrence in Raleigh... which was most exciting for Ethan and Colin.  There are no snow plows, no one owns snow shovels or clothing so the city pretty much shut down plus Papa's flight back to NY was cancelled for bad weather there.
We gathered some snow and made a miniature snowman indoors while the storm raged.
But finally we headed outside to play.

Thanks Kim and Jason for making us feel so welcome!

Glad you guys had fun! I'm excited to play the game that has what it takes to replace Settlers in the Harris house!

We miss you! Come back! The snow is gone for good, I promise...
