Ho Ho Holidays....

On December 10th Kelli and Scarlett flew to NY to spend 10 days with us. We had so much fun just hanging out! Pregnant Kelli wasn't feeling her best but Scarlett wrapped us around her cute little finger.

To celebrate our 36th Anniversary Kelli and Scarlett and Jessica and Abbie took the train with me to NYC where we were joined by Ashley, Toby and Ben to attend the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular. It was spectacular! Toby and Scarlett loved it but Ben fell asleep. Afterwards we visited the tree at Rockefeller Center and met Randy, Todd and Jared (Sorensen) for dinner at Carmines.

On December 20th Kelli and Scarlett and Jared went to Florida to celebrate Christmas with the Salters and we flew to San Diego (it only took 7 hours of drama at JFK to get off of the ground) to spend Christmas with Ryan and Nathan's Families.

Nathan, Megan and boys joined with us at Ryan's on Christmas Eve for crab legs and steak, a precious reenactment of the Nativity and a little Rock Band.

We enjoyed time with Nathan's family attending church, playing outside and viewing Christmas lights. It was fun to hang out with our newest grandson Tate.

Here are some shots of Megan's 3 oldest boys...living on the edge.

Made a trek down the pier to Ruby's. This guy was there to greet us along with some playful dolphins.

Couldn't go to California without spending some time on the beach...

After the relaxing sun break in California we flew back to New York where we rendevoused with Kelli, Jared and Scarlett at JFK and were reunited with Todd, Ashley, Toby, Ben and Chase at our home in Carmel. We spent the next week by the fire playing Rock Band, eating turtles and just being together.

Of course we went shopping at the Danbury Mall and rode the carousel.

One day we went ice skating at a nearby rink. Determined Toby mastered the ice while Jared tried to stay upright, Grammy entertained babies and Ben on the sideline with suckers and Papa fell and sprained his wrist and compressed a bone near his elbow. Ouch!

It snowed New Year's Eve Day which provided a great opportunity for sledding.

We spent a quiet night at home on New Year's Eve ringing in the New Year twice. Once around 8 pm with kids, fondue, toasts, noise makers...and again at midnight with a game of Settlers.

On January 2nd we celebrated Jared's 29th birthday with lunch at Cheesecake Factory. Kelli made him a berry pie which we ate hot from the oven.

On Saturday the 3rd we celebrated Toby's birthday early with a "Super Hero" Party. His creative mom organized a really fun event and invited friends from Danbury to join us. The kids chose names and decorated a cape to wear. They shot villains with Nerf dart guns and each other as they drove their power wheels around the garage. Ashley served ice cream cone cupcakes and the kids broke a pinata loaded with candy.

After the party Todd's family took the train back to the city. Next day we took Kelli, Jared and Scarlett to JFK for their return flight to Budapest. Randy and I came home and collapsed....
